Andrea Porras

Andrea Porras has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Andrea started their career at Utah State University as an Office Assistant in 2007 before transitioning to a role as an Assistant Manager at Claire's. In this position, they implemented a successful Loss Prevention Action Plan and handled daily store operations.

In 2011, Andrea joined Target as a Sales Floor Team Member and was later promoted to the Electronics Sales Desk. Andrea excelled in improving sales and cash management, exceeding the store's goals. Andrea then moved on to Utah State University as a Window Dresser, where they designed captivating displays to support sales strategies.

After that, Andrea worked as a Visual Merchandiser at Anthropologie, where they partnered with the Floor Manager to boost sales through creative visual branding and data analysis. Andrea also played a pivotal role in training and developing sales associates while coordinating special store events.

In 2017, Andrea transitioned to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as an Administrative Assistant for the newly formed Space Enabled research group. Andrea facilitated communication, managed travel and event logistics, and handled complex budgeting. Andrea later became an Administrative Support Coordinator, organizing community events and managing logistical details for the Media Lab. Andrea also hired and coached a team of Administrative Assistants.

Andrea's most recent role is as the Head of Community at E14 Fund, starting in 2023. Their responsibilities include community engagement, outreach and collaboration with other startup programs and investors, and content development to engage and educate the E14 community.
