Leigh Clarke

Leigh Clarke has held a variety of roles in the legal and corporate world. From 1991 to 1995, they were an Associate Lawyer at McCarthy Tétrault. Leigh then moved to Macleod Dixon LLP where they held the role of Associate Lawyer from 1995 to 1999. In 1999, they transitioned to TransAlta as the Director of Corporate Communications where they led the department that managed the company's corporate reputation risk. From 2000 to 2002, they were the Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary at Tathacus Resources Limited, where they established the legal, corporate secretary and communications functions. From 2002 to 2015, they held the role of Senior Vice President, External Engagement, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at AltaLink. Leigh then moved to Canada First Management Corporation where they were the Vice President and General Counsel from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they were the Strategic Indigenous Engagement Counsel at Communica. Leigh is currently the Vice President Corporate Strategy and Sustainability and Director, Corp Strategy and Sustainability at E3 Lithium, a role they have held since 2018.

Leigh Clarke has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Alberta, which they obtained between 1988 and 1991. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Leigh'story from the same university between 1983 and 1987.
