Sebastian Kiecker

Sebastian Kiecker is a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Tartu and an Associate at E3G, with concurrent roles as a Research Assistant focused on energy transition at the ZOE Institute for Future-fit Economies. Experience includes research on energy and just transitions, particularly in the context of political economy and economic policy, and collaboration with the Energy Independence Council to develop gas phase-out pathways for Germany. Prior internships at E3G and BIGGAR ECONOMICS LIMITED provided insights into climate change, governance, and productivity growth. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Political Economy at the University of Tartu, an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Economics of Globalisation and European Integration, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Stirling.
