Denise Mauro, RHIT, CCS

Denise Mauro, RHIT, CCS has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Denise started their career at Paine Webber in 1985, where they served as an Assistant Vice President in Equity Trading until 1993. From 2014 to 2015, Denise worked as a Brokerage Office Administrator at Edward Jones. Denise then transitioned to Atrium Health in 2018, initially joining as a Release Specialist in the Insurance Team and later becoming a Coding Reimbursement Specialist in 2021. In these roles, they performed accurate analysis of medical records and assigned appropriate codes for billing purposes, ensuring coding compliance and revenue optimization. Currently, Denise is employed at e4 as a Medical Coding Specialist in the Emergency Department, where they continue to excel in accurately coding medical records.

Denise Mauro, RHIT, CCS, has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics from the University at Albany, SUNY. Denise also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Health Information Technology from Brookdale Community College. Additionally, they have obtained the certifications of Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from AHIMA in February 2018 and September 2020, respectively.
