Rafael Gaspar began their career in 2007 as a Researcher at PET Computação, where they mentored basic and intermediate level Linux classes for freshman students, managed and monitored a bare metal Linux server, and researched and implemented virtual assessments using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL. In 2009, they worked as a Developer at LCG and at Compra3, where they implemented new features and solved bugs on an application built with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Memcached, and developed integrations with a couple third-party restful API's and scrapers for e-commerce sites using Ruby with Hpricot. In 2010, they joined Eadbox as CTO, Lead Ruby on Rails Developer, and DevOps, where they architected and developed a good part of the platform using Ruby on Rails, TestUnit, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch, and a few Amazon services including S3, ETS, KMS, and others, and developed integrations with a handful of third-party services from YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Box. com, a few payment gateways, and a few client’s proprietary content providers, using REST, SOAP, and other protocols.
Rafael Gaspar attended the Universidade Federal do Paraná from 2006 to 2010, studying Computer Science.
September, 2010 - present
