Matt Peters has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on engineering and certification. Matt also held positions as an Engineering Technologist and Life-Cycle Specialist (Structures) and as an Engineering Technologist (Aeronautical/Mechanical) at Rotary Wing Engineering, providing technical support and project management for helicopter fleets.
Prior to their time at IMP Group Ltd., Matt worked at L-3 Communications, Spar Aerospace Ltd. as a Preventive Maintenance Lead and Structures Specialist in the CC130 ASIP Group. Matt'sresponsibilities included maintenance inspection schedules, database management, and project management for the CC130 Hercules fleet-wide issues.

Matt Peters completed their education in aeronautical engineering technology at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1999 to 2002, earning a diploma. In 2007 to 2008, they pursued a certificate in photography at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Additionally, they obtained various certifications throughout their career, including being a transport Canada Delegated Engineer and a Certified Engineering Technologist.
