Dr. Sangita Kumari

Dr. Sangita Kumari is a Bioinformatics Scientist at Eagle Genomics, with experience in developing RNASeq pipelines using R, Python, and Nextflow, as well as involvement in study onboarding, data curation, ontology addition, and database updates since July 2022. Prior to this, Dr. Kumari was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Indian Institute of Science from November 2017 to May 2021, where a database called ALZOME was developed. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Associate at NBPGR working with Dr. Soma Sundar Marla on NGS analysis of crop data and as a PhD Researcher at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where a thesis on Isoprenoid Biosynthesis and plant stress response was defended successfully. Dr. Kumari holds a Postdoctoral degree in Computational analysis of neurodegenerative disease from the Indian Institute of Science, a PhD in Computational Biology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, an MSc in Bioinformatics from Banaras Hindu University, and a BSc in Biotechnology from Patna University.
