Matt Newby

Matt Newby currently serves as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at Eagle Materials since June 2012, overseeing areas such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. Prior to this role, Matt held the position of Associate at Weil Gotshal and Manges, focusing on mergers and acquisitions and securities law from July 2005 to June 2012, and at Baker Botts LLP from August 2002 to July 2005 in similar legal capacities. Matt earned a JD from The University of Texas School of Law and a BBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from Baylor University.
