Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson currently serves as a Board Trustee at Michigan Technological University since January 2021 and has been the Manager of External Relations at Eagle Mine since August 2013, where responsibilities include internal and external communication, community engagement, environmental monitoring, risk mitigation, and strategic planning. Prior experience includes roles as Manager of External Relations at Rio Tinto, Manager for Northern Michigan at the Michigan Governor's Office, and Director for the Michigan First District at the U.S. House of Representatives. Matthew Johnson holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Northern Michigan University.
