John Laing

John Laing currently serves as the Director of RCR/Specialty Finance Research at Eagle Point Credit since April 2024. Prior to this role, John Laing was a Portfolio Manager at HBK Capital Management from December 2020 to October 2023 and held the same title at KLS Diversified Asset Management LP from June 2011 to October 2020, where additional roles included Quantitative Analyst and Head of Software Development. John's career began at TIAA-CREF, where there was a focus on Credit Risk Management as a Senior Associate from July 2006 to May 2011. John Laing earned a Master of Arts in Statistics from Columbia University between 2007 and 2010 and previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics from the same institution from 2002 to 2006.
