Mia Palau

Mia Palau has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2008, Mia started their career as an EFL Teacher at Chaplin's School, teaching all age groups and levels. Later that year, they worked as an EFL Teacher at Institut d'Estudis Nord-americans, overseeing the Multimedia Program and developing online courses. In 2016, Mia joined Eagle Technology as an Account & Channel Manager, where they focused on developing client relationships and managing sales channels. Most recently, in 2022, Mia became a Linguistic Quality Assurance Tester at Welocalize, performing complex linguistic and functional testing of software applications and websites. Overall, Mia has demonstrated strong communication and coordination skills throughout their various roles.

Mia Palau attended Universitat Pompeu Fabra from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Licenciatura degree in Translation and Interpretation, specializing in Spanish, English, French, and Catalan. In 2007, they completed a Trinity Certificate TEFL-TESOL course at Trinity College London. Mia later pursued further education at Universitat de Barcelona from 2008 to 2009, completing a course on training teachers to teach Spanish as a foreign language (E/LE). In 2004, Mia Palau participated in the ERASMUS program at Durham University. Additionally, they obtained additional certifications including a Teaching Young Learners - Training course from Institut d'Estudis Nord-americans in July 2009 and a Listening Materials Workshop from the same institution in June 2009.
