Karen Redhead

CEO & Principal at West London College

Karen has worked in the further education sector for more than 29 years and has spent the majority of this time in senior roles at CEO / Principal or Deputy Principal level. The colleges she has worked in are very diverse in size (£14m - £60m turnover) and specialisms (academic, vocational, 16-18, adults, HE, apprenticeships, traineeships, commercial, international).

Karen has served on a number of regional and national boards including the North East LEP and the AoC Board. Karen currently chairs the AoC national policy group for apprenticeships.

Karen is currently undertaking a Ph.D. in educational policy reform and is an alumna of Oxford University Said Business School. Karen was awarded an OBE in 2019 for services to Further Education.
