Blair Cain

Blair Cain has extensive work experience in research, animal care, and customer service. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Research Associate at Earli Inc. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Research Associate I at Atreca, Inc., where they conducted in vivo oncology efficacy studies and used StudyLog software to record data. In 2019, they worked as a Scientific Aide at the CA Department Fish and Wildlife, where they processed field data and managed an extensive database. They also worked as a Fisheries Technician at the Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission, where they collected and analyzed data on salmon growth, weight, length, tag presence, and fin clips. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Student Assistant and Research Intern at the UC Davis Wildlife and Fish Conservation Dept., where they entered data and provided technical support, identified and organized plant seed samples, conducted literature searches and drafted summaries of findings, and managed behavioral projects on study species. In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant at the UC Davis Plant and Environmental Sciences Dept., where they collected soil samples and plant biomass and determined root type classification. In 2017, they worked as an Animal Technician at the UC Davis Vet Med Teaching Hospital, where they sanitized animal wards and replenished veterinary supply inventory. In 2016, they worked as a Veterinary Technician Assistant at AEROWOOD ANIMAL HOSPITAL & AFTER HOURS ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC, PS INC., where they conducted blood work and analysis, drew vaccines, and logged and tended to patient’s needs. In 2015, they worked as a Cashier at JOANN Stores, where they handled customers’ cash and purchases, answered phone calls inquiring about the availability of products, and worked with fellow team members to restock and reorganize the store.

Blair Cain attended the University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Animal Biology with a field of study in Wildlife and Fish Conservation.
