Heidi Thomas

Heidi Thomas has 24 years of work experience in various tax-related roles. Heidi currently holds the position of Senior Director of Tax at Early Warning®, a position they have held since January 2019. Prior to their current role, Heidi worked at the University of Phoenix as the Director of Indirect Tax from December 2017 to December 2018, and as a Senior Manager of Indirect Tax from August 2017 to December 2017. Before their time at the University of Phoenix, they worked at Apollo Education Group for 8 years as a Senior Manager of Indirect Tax. Heidi also has experience as a Sales Tax Manager at PetSmart from November 2001 to April 2009, and as a Sales Tax Analyst-Manager at MicroAge from 1995 to November 2001.

Heidi Thomas earned a Master's degree in Taxation from Arizona State University, which they completed from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Western International University in 2008. Their education started with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Cottey College in 1994. In addition to their formal education, Heidi has also obtained several certifications related to tax implementation and sales tax from institutions such as Vertex Inc. and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
