Brett Peppler

Brett Peppler has held several roles throughout their work experience. Brett is currently the Managing Director at Intelligent Futures Pty Ltd, a position they have held since July 2019. In addition, they are an Expert Panelist - Corporate Innovation at Early Birds Marketplace since July 2020 and an Expert Panelist - Strategic Foresight at RANE (Risk Assistance Network + Exchange) since March 2021.

Prior to their current roles, Brett was an Adjunct Fellow and later an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University from May 2014 to April 2017. Brett also served as the President of AIPIO (Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers) from 2010 to 2012.

Before that, Brett held various positions at different organizations. Brett worked as the Manager of Risk Intelligence at IAG from January 2021 to October 2021, where they were responsible for designing and building a risk intelligence function. At Suncorp Group, they held multiple roles, including Executive Manager - Strategic Intelligence from February 2018 to June 2019 and Research & Intelligence Advisor - Strategic Innovation from January 2013 to April 2016.

Brett also worked at the Department of Defence of Australia as a Senior Intelligence Officer - Strategic Horizons from August 2009 to January 2013.

Brett started their career as the Managing Director at Intelligent Futures Pty Ltd in September 1998 and held the position until August 2009.

Finally, Brett will begin working as a Technical Adviser - Office of National Security Coordination, Palau at the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade from October 2022 to April 2023.

Brett Peppler's education history includes the following:

- In 2019, they attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors and completed the Company Directors Course, focusing on Board Governance.

- From 1991 to 1995, they studied at Deakin University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations.

- Between 1990 and 1995, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies at the Department of Defence.

- In 1989, they obtained a Diploma in Personnel and Resource Management from the Department of Defence.

- From 1988 to 1990, they studied at the Department of Defence and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Information Management and Analysis.

- In 1988, they completed a Diploma in Intelligence Analysis at the US Defence Intelligence College.
