Nehme Bilal

Nehme Bilal is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend service development across multiple high-profile companies. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Earnin since January 2019, Nehme leads the development of backend services on AWS utilizing ASP.Net Core and Kotlin in a microservices architecture. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, where Nehme led the Notification Service for Gears of War and developed GLTF transcoders for Microsoft 3D Paint, and Software Development Engineer at Amazon, focusing on backend services for Amazon Prime. Additional experience includes positions at BlackBerry, Objectivity, and MIRARCO, as well as teaching Linear Algebra. Nehme holds a Ph.D. in Software Engineering and Optimization, a Master's in Software Engineering, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Mecatronics Engineering, all from Polytechnique Montréal.
