Xipan Xiao

Xipan Xiao is an accomplished Software Engineer with extensive experience in backend services, risk management, and software product delivery. Currently employed at Earnin since October 2021, Xipan focuses on backend services that manage user debt and risks, utilizing technologies such as Kotlin, C#, and Python, alongside microservices architecture on AWS and Kafka. Prior experience includes Google, where Xipan contributed to the knowledge management system for support content, and MediaMath, where the development of a real-time query service for online advertising was key. Xipan's tenure at IBM spanned over a decade, serving as an Advisory Software Engineer and leading integrations between various IBM products, with proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and C/C++. Xipan holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and dual Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
