Erel Margalit

As chairman and founder of Jerusalem Venture partners (JVP), Erel Margalit is one of the chief architects of the “startup nation”, which brings innovation and entrepreneurial leadership to the country’s most pressing political, economic, and social challenges. JVP is repeatedly ranked as one of the top six venture capital firms in the world in terms of consistent fund returns.

Erel spent five years in the Israeli parliament where he headed the national cyber lobby, the lobby for the north and south of Israel, and the finance committee. He was chosen for the Forbes Midas list and by Israel’s prestigious business paper as the first venture capitalist with the golden touch. Erel holds a PhD. from Columbia University.
