Shamika Sawant is currently working as an Ocean Rights' Associate at the Earth Law Center. Previously, Shamika was a Research Intern at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Shamika is pursuing a PhD in Aquatic Environment Management at Central Institute of Fisheries Education, following their completion of a Master of Fisheries Science at the same institute. Shamika obtained their Bachelor of Fisheries Science from College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, India.
