Natalie Barefoot

Natalie Barefoot serves as a Senior Attorney for International Oceans at Earthjustice, focusing on the legal protection of ocean ecosystems, particularly for keystone species like sharks and whales. Concurrently, Natalie is a member of Homeward Bound Team 5, a global initiative aimed at empowering women in environmental decision-making. As the Executive Director of Cet Law, Inc., Natalie advocates for the conservation of cetaceans and their habitats. Previous positions include serving as the Director of the Environmental Justice Clinic at the University of Miami School of Law, and holding roles within UNEP and Hogan Lovells US LLP. Natalie began a career in finance and program assistance with Pact, leading to significant project management experience. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Accountancy from The George Washington University.
