Barry Smith

Barry Smith served as the Chief Operating Officer of Ageas NV from 2013 - 2015. Prior to his appointment as Group COO, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Ageas UK from 2001 to 2012. He has been heavily involved with CII for many years and was formerly the National President. He also spends his time in support of other companies, start-ups and organisations including as an Independent Non Executive Director at Uinsure, Chairman at Neos (a start-up in the connected home / IOT market), Advisor to Fenchurch Advisory Partners on the non-life market, a NED of RB Sports and Holdings PLC and a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra's Advisory Council, among others.
