Sean Arthurs has a diverse background in education and advocacy. Sean is currently the Director of Global Education and Training at EarthRights International, where they collaborate with communities worldwide to develop educational programs and support earth rights defenders. Prior to this, Sean worked as an Online Learning Facilitator at Harvard University Graduate School of Education and as a Senior Principal at Arthurs & Associates. Sean also served as a Senior Manager for Education Initiatives at the National Parent Teacher Association, where they implemented a STEM + Families program and secured significant funding. Sean has experience in directing civic engagement efforts at COMMUNITY LAW IN ACTION, INC. and as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center. Sean began their career as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, specializing in legal research and arbitration. Earlier, they worked as a Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati and as a Legal Deputy/Human Rights Volunteer at peace brigades international - pbi. Throughout their career, Sean has demonstrated a passion for education, advocacy, and promoting human rights.

Sean Arthurs has a diverse education history. Sean obtained a Doctor of Education Leadership degree, specifically an Ed.L.D., from the Harvard Graduate School of Education between 2013 and 2016. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Masters of Laws (LL.M) degree in Advocacy at Georgetown University Law Center. Moreover, they achieved a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law from 2002 to 2005. Sean also holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Portland, which they completed from 1994 to 1996. Lastly, they obtained a BBA degree with a focus on Finance and Japanese from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 1990 to 1994.
