Al Coogan

Al Coogan has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Most recently, they worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System as the Director of Management Information Systems, where they managed the financial data systems and served as a team lead for the Technology Services department budget. Prior to this, they worked at DCI - Data Center Incorporated as a Senior Programmer, specializing in programming, data mapping, and Oracle database administration. Al also gained experience as a Programmer and later as a Production Control Supervisor at United Companies Financial Corporation, where they were responsible for coding, testing, and job control language, as well as supervising a team of operators. Before that, they worked as a Scheduler at First Commerce Corporation, overseeing nightly batch processing and managing print and tape rooms. Al began their career as a Computer Operations Supervisor at EDS - Electronic Data Systems, where they were accountable for the quality of work produced by the operations department. Al Coogan also has extensive experience as a Computer Operations Manager/Security Officer at South Savings and Loan Association, where they monitored daily processing, managed the network for multiple branches and ATMs, and implemented a disaster recovery plan.

Al Coogan obtained an Associates degree in Computer Information Technology from Delgado Community College in 2000. Al later obtained multiple certifications, including Crystal Reports 2020, Microsoft Power Automate (Flow) Crash Course - 2020, and SQL Server Database Administration, among others.
