Diane Atkins

Diane Atkins is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in human resources and educational administration. Currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Caddo Parish Public Schools since July 2014, Diane oversees human resource functions for 59 schools, supporting over 5,000 employees and more than 39,000 students. Concurrently, Diane has held the position of Associate Superintendent for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System since July 2010, guiding eleven departments in educational direction. Previous roles include Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Support Services in the Montgomery Alabama School System, where Diane focused on student support and school safety, and Director of Child Welfare and Attendance for the Caddo Parish School Board, supervising staff and addressing student disciplinary issues. Diane holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Northwestern State University and a Bachelor's degree in Speech and English Education from Grambling State University.
