Melvin Hollins

Melvin Hollins, Ed.D. serves as the Director of Middle Schools and Director of Magnet School Programs for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, a role held since August 2015. Previously, Melvin held positions including Principal, Dean of Students, and Instructional Coach within the same district. Prior experience includes serving as a School Board Representative for the East Feliciana School System and Curriculum Resource Teacher at Charter Schools USA. Melvin began as a Mathematics Teacher at Zachary Community Schools. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education from Southern University.
