Meagan Smith is an experienced professional with a strong background in administrative support, project coordination, and fundraising. Currently serving as the Assistant to the CEO & COO at East Bay Community Energy since November 2018, Meagan has previously held positions such as Project Advisor and Campaign/Fundraising Coordinator at CliffordMoss, and Development Associate at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. Meagan’s role at the University involved extensive donor management and coordinating charitable donations, while earlier experience includes assisting with donation processing and participant enrollment at the American Cancer Society National Cancer Information Center. Meagan’s career began in 2006 at Union College, where responsibilities included managing a phonathon program to increase donor engagement. Meagan holds a BA in Studio Arts/Art History from Union College.

East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local public electricity supplier in Alameda County and in the City of Tracy. EBCE is providing clean, green energy at low rates to our 635,000 customers. EBCE reinvests earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. EBCE member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by EBCE.
