Vanessa "V" Gerber is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in transportation electrification and community-based environmental initiatives. Currently serving as Product Manager for DC Fast Charging at Ava Community Energy since August 2019, Vanessa has played a pivotal role in developing a public electric vehicle fast charging network and advocating for zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Prior to this, Vanessa held various positions at CleanFund, contributing to business development, marketing, and strategic operations. Additionally, Vanessa is a board member of The Big C Society and a former fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, recognized for entrepreneurial innovation. Vanessa's educational background includes a B.S. in Conservation & Resource Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.

EBCE reinvests earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. EBCE member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by EBCE.
