Zac Thompson has a robust background in environmental sustainability and transportation electrification, currently serving as the Manager of Transportation Electrification at Ava Community Energy since November 2019. Prior to this role, Zac worked at the San Francisco Department of the Environment as a Zero Emission Vehicles Analyst and co-coordinator for the San Francisco Clean Cities Coalition from August 2016 to November 2019. Earlier experience includes a position as a Sustainability Intern with the National Park Service and a Student Assistant at the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies. Zac holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from San Francisco State University, completed in 2016.

East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), is the local public electricity supplier in Alameda County and in the City of Tracy. EBCE is providing clean, green energy at low rates to our 635,000 customers. EBCE reinvests earnings back into the community to create local green energy jobs, local programs, and clean power projects. EBCE member cities include Albany, Berkeley, Dublin, Emeryville, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Oakland, Piedmont, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Stockton, Tracy, and Union City. The unincorporated areas of Alameda County (including Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol) are also served by EBCE.
