Jock Hayes

Director of Audience and Engagement at East Bay Newspapers

Jock Hayes has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 1988, they worked as an Instructor & Yacht Broker at the Boston Sailing Center, where they provided expert sailing instruction to adult students and acted as a sales representative for Olson Yachts and Sonar. In 1989, they began working at East Bay Newspapers, first as the Director of Audience and Engagement, then as the Director of Events, where they were responsible for promoting and managing all EBN events, as well as event sponsorships and Non-Profit partnerships and sponsorships. Jock also served as the Operations Manager, coordinating, managing and monitoring the workings of various departments in the organization, and reviewing financial statements and data to improve profitability. In 1997, they began working at Providence Country Day School as the Head Lacrosse Coach. Jock also held this position at Concord Academy in 1988.

Jock Hayes attended Tabor Academy from 1979 to 1982, Providence Country Day School from 1982 to 1983, and the University of Vermont from 1983 to 1987, studying Secondary Education and Teaching.
