Allyson Cook is an experienced human resources professional and attorney specializing in labor relations and employment law. Currently serving as the Assistant General Manager and Chief Human Resources Officer at East Bay Regional Park District since March 2021, Allyson previously held prominent roles at the City of Oakland, including Assistant Director and Labor and Employee Relations Manager. In these positions, Allyson managed labor negotiations and advised city departments on labor law, grievance management, and workplace investigations. Prior to that, Allyson worked as a Deputy City Attorney in Labor & Employment at the Oakland City Attorneys' Office and was a Partner at Burnham Brown, focusing on employment litigation. Allyson began their career as a Paralegal and holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from the University of San Francisco.
