Chief of Staff & Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Manager at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center

Takesha Hurd is EBNHC’s Chief of Staff, providing direct support to Interim President and CEO Greg Wilmot and the health center's Executive Leadership Team. In her role at EBNHC she coordinates and facilitates various key organizational forums. She also implements and facilitates key planning processes across the organization, as she oversees the executive office day-to-day administration. As the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manger, she manages the DEI related initiatives and strategies of the organization and leads select planning activities to ensure the advancement of the organization’s DEI strategic plan. Prior to joining EBNHC, Takesha has 20 years of executive health care experience. She held various roles at Mass General Brigham (MGB) / Allways Health Partners where she led the coordination, logistics, and communications for the organization’s Pharmacy Operation, Medicaid and ACO Operation, and Strategy and Marketing Department. She also served as the organization’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion facilitator. In this capacity, she led DEI training for existing and new employees through a mandatory DE&I workshop and coordinated and led various internal and external DE&I events. Takesha is not new to community health centers and prior to MGB, she worked with Manet Community Health Center where she provided executive and project management support to the CEO, Senior Management team, and the Board of Directors. Additionally, she worked at Boston Medical Center, Department of Family Medicine as an Administrative Coordinator. Takesha holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from her proud HBCU (Historically Black College University) of Virginia Union University. She is also an alum of The Partnership Inc.’s Fellows Program.
