Guili Zhang

Professor And Department Chair

Guili Zhang, PhD, currently serves as President Elect of the American Evaluation Association and Chairperson of the UNC University System Asian and Pacific Islander Faculty and Staff Caucus. At East Carolina University, Guili Zhang holds the position of Professor and Department Chair, specializing in graduate-level courses in research and evaluation methods, as well as directing doctoral dissertation research and serving as an editor for the Journal of Curriculum and Instruction. In addition, Guili Zhang is the author of "Dragon Mom Eagle Mom," which received recognition as one of China’s Highly Influential Education Books in 2015. Other roles include Director at the American Family Education Institute and various positions within the American Evaluation Association, including Chair for both the Assessment in Higher Education and Quantitative Methods TIGs. Guili Zhang's educational background includes a PhD in Research and Evaluation Methodology from the University of Florida and postdoctoral training in statistical analysis from Stanford University.
