Michael Porter

Michael Porter is an experienced yacht broker and private yacht captain with a diverse background in yacht management, consulting, and teaching sailing. Currently, Michael serves as a Yacht Broker at East Coast Yacht Sales since January 2018 and has been the owner of Porter Yacht Solutions, providing captain services and yacht management since November 2010. Previous positions include Yacht Captain/Engineer for M/Y Vanish from May 2013 to November 2017, where extensive sailing took place throughout the Caribbean and East Coast USA, and as Captain and Operations Manager at True Course Yachting from March 2016 to January 2017. Michael also held a leadership role at the University of Michigan Alumni Association - Camp Michigania, overseeing boating activities for a large number of campers. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Michael combines a strong educational background with extensive hands-on experience in the sailing industry.
