Katie Kaplan

Katie Kaplan, M.S.Ed, currently serves as an Educator at East End Prep since July 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Dean of Mathematics and Math Teacher at STEM Preparatory Academy from July 2019 to July 2022, as well as Curriculum Developer at Lifelong Learners from April 2019 to July 2022. Katie was a Founding Teacher at Memphis Delta Preparatory Charter School from July 2016 to July 2019 and worked as a Curriculum Consultant & Designer at ALLMemphis from May 2018 to January 2019. Additional experience includes being a Teacher Fellow at The National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education (NAATE) and Teach Plus, and serving as a Policy Fellow at the Urban Leaders Fellowship. Early teaching roles include a 2nd Grade Teacher at Bodine School and various positions at Shelby County Schools. Education credentials include a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University.
