Daryl McCartney

Daryl McCartney, MD, FAAFP, currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Medicine and Hospitalist Medical Director at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, LLC since June 2021. In addition to these roles, Daryl McCartney is a Physician and Interim Chief Medical Officer at COASTAL COMMUNITY HEALTH since November 2021, and has been the Palliative Care Medical Director at PruittHealth since August 2019. Daryl McCartney has held positions as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University since July 2016, and as a Hospitalist and Chief of Staff at Emanuel Medical Center - GA since August 2012. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer and Staff Physician at East Georgia Healthcare Center from August 2012 to May 2021, and as a Resident Physician at Howard University Hospital from August 2009 to July 2012. Daryl McCartney earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Howard University. Education also includes attending Jamaica College, Campion College, and Queen's Prep School.
