Jessica (McLaughlin) Sweeney, P.E. is an experienced educator and engineer with a diverse professional background. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at The Albany Academies since September 2023, Jessica has also been a highly sought-after substitute for the East Greenbush Central School District since November 2018, specializing in grades K-5 and special education. Previous experience includes substitute teaching at Holy Spirit School, as well as volunteering on the Board of Trustees for the Rensselaer Alumni Association and the Planning Advisory Committee for the Town of East Greenbush. Jessica's engineering background includes roles as a Project Engineer at CHA Consulting and WSP SELLS, where Jessica designed local road projects and multi-use pathways. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, obtained in 2004.
