Whitney Bates

Whitney Bates currently serves as an Applied Art Teacher at East Greenwich School Department and has been an Art Teacher at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy since August 2013. Previous roles include High School Art Teacher at Pawtucket School Department, Art Teacher and Teaching Artist at The Learning Community/Providence CityArts for Youth, and Art Program Director/Lead Art Instructor at the Town of Colonie Summer Enrichment Program. Additional experience includes a brief role as a Preschool Teacher at Kidz Korner Childcare and Learning Center. Education credentials include a Master of Arts in Art Teacher Education from Boston University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with minors in Art Education and Art History from Alfred University.
