Roxanne Fries has extensive experience in advocacy and healthcare, currently serving as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Victim Advocate at the East Los Angeles Women's Center since April 2016. Prior roles include internships at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where Roxanne worked on genome analysis for the US Department of Energy, and research assistant positions at the W.M. Keck Science Center in biophysics. Additional experience includes roles as a marketing intern at Avinger Inc., a state health policy intern at the California HealthCare Foundation, and a student volunteer at the Westminster Free Clinic. Roxanne Fries holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Biophysics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
