Richard Blackmore

Richard Blackmore currently serves as the Director of Policy & Insight and Head of Special Projects at East Midlands Chamber, a role assumed in October 2023. Prior to this position, Richard held various leadership roles at the Confederation of British Industry from September 2014 to October 2023, including Regional Director and Assistant Director, where responsibilities included lobbying, networking, and decision-making support for businesses. Richard's earlier experience includes overseeing membership and training at the National Rifle Association of the UK, business development at Hattrick Marketing, and sales and membership leadership at the Fitness Industry Association. Richard began a career in sales and marketing at David Lloyd Leisure. Richard holds a BSc Hons in Sports Science from the University of Wolverhampton.
