David Mwangi, PhD, currently serves as the Supervisor of Science for the East Orange School District since July 2021 and is an Educator at STEM Academy, where involvement began in September 2020. As a Science Advisor for Edkairos Corp since February 2021, David provides expertise on science and instructional research. Part-time faculty in the Biology Department at Kean University since September 2013, David initiated the Virology course for Senior Biology majors, overseeing curriculum design. David founded K-20 Personalized PD Consulting in August 2017, facilitating the integration of data-driven practices in teaching. Previous roles include serving on the Professional Development Committee for the National Science Teachers Association and as an AP Biology rater for Educational Testing Service. David is a co-founder of Intel's Systems Solution, operational in multiple countries, and has held teaching and leadership positions within the East Orange School District, focusing on STEM training and professional development. David's educational background includes a PhD in Biomedical Science, a Master's in School Administration, and certifications in supervision.
