Colleen Lenett is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in language arts instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Language Arts Instructor at East Penn School District since August 2019, Colleen previously held roles such as Program Administrator at Berks County Intermediate Unit #14, where responsibilities included leadership in professional development and curriculum collaboration with school districts. The East Penn School District is located in the Lehigh Valley’s metropolitan area which has a total population of a half million people. With proximity to New York City, Philadelphia, the Pocono Mountains and the New Jersey shore, East Penn is an ideal location that is experiencing residential and business growth. The East Penn staff consists of approximately 565 professional and 505 support members, with 90% of the teachers holding a master’s degree or beyond. In addition to attending many workshops and conferences each year, every professional employee participates in various workshops and training activities through the Employee Development Program to enhance their particular skills. Members of our professional staff are resource persons for state, national and international conferences, adjunct college professors and published writers and researchers.
