Dave Bielawa

Dave Bielawa, CFA, CISA, CGEIT, currently serves as the EVP/Chief Audit Executive at East West Bank, overseeing Internal Audit and Loan Review functions at the $70 billion institution since February 2017. Previously, Bielawa was the Chief Auditor at City National Bank from September 2000 to February 2017, leading a team of 40 audit professionals and reporting to the Audit Committee, while also holding Chief Auditor responsibilities for RBC Bank in Raleigh, NC. Bielawa's career began at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where a role as National Bank Examiner involved specialization in Credit & Capital Markets and leadership as Regional Bank Examiner-in-Charge from October 1982 to September 2000. Bielawa holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Northern Illinois University and became a Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute.
