Lance Zhao

Lance Zhao serves as the Head of Innovation Banking at East West Bank since August 2023. Prior to this role, Lance held the position of Director of Technology Innovation at SPD Silicon Valley Bank from March 2016 to June 2023, where responsibilities included relationship management. Lance's experience also includes working as a Risk Analyst at SPD Silicon Valley Bank from June 2012 to March 2016, focusing on post-loan portfolio management, enterprise-wide risk management, and IT risk. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Credit Risk Manager at BEA and an Auditor at PwC, with responsibilities ranging from credit proposal assessment and loan committee duties to auditing and internal control testing. Lance holds an FMBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from China Europe International Business School and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Shanghai International Studies University, along with a second major in Finance from Fudan University.
