Leslie Smith

Leslie Smith is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in private equity and venture capital banking. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Private Equity West at East West Bank since January 2014, Leslie leads the bank's Private Equity banking practice in the Western United States. Prior roles include SVP and Venture Capital Services West Manager at Square 1 Bank, where Leslie focused on banking West Coast and Rocky Mountain venture capital firms, and Managing Member at Capital Ramp, LLC, responsible for business development and capital formation consulting. Earlier experience at Silicon Valley Bank included managing the Venture Capital Services team for Seattle-based VCs. Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Washington, completed between 1985 and 1988.
