Elisa Johnston is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communication and public relations. Currently, as a Marketing Communications Specialist at the East West Center since July 2017, Elisa collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team to enhance brand outreach and impact. Previously, Elisa served as a Communications Specialist and Publications Manager at the East-West Center for over three decades, where responsibilities included directing public policy publications relevant to the Asia-Pacific-US region and overseeing the corporate identity program. Earlier, Elisa established the Public Information Office at the Bishop Museum, enhancing public accessibility to its collections and research while fostering community engagement. Elisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
