Barry Byrne Mrics

Barry Byrne MRICS currently serves as the Head of Contract Management at East West Railway Company, overseeing the development of a new railway project from Oxford to Cambridge. Previously, Barry held the position of Senior Commercial Manager at NEOM, contributing to the innovative cognitive city project known as THE LINE. With extensive experience in commercial management, Barry led significant projects including the HS2 rail initiative, where responsibilities included overseeing a large team, managing complex contracts under NEC3, and facilitating commercial negotiations. Barry's background also includes leadership roles in various high-profile projects such as the Hamad International Airport and a high-speed rail project linking mainland China to Hong Kong. Barry’s educational accomplishments feature a Real Estate Investment Programme from the University of Oxford and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London. Currently, Barry is pursuing further education in Claims Preparation & Dispute Management at the College of Contract Management in the UK.
