Geoffrey Lord MBA MAICD MAHRI serves as the Director of People and Culture at East Wimmera Health Service since February 2022, focusing on developing strategies to enhance staff capabilities and improve patient care. Prior to this role, Geoffrey held significant academic positions, including Associate Professor and Head of Campus at Federation University Australia from December 2013 to February 2022, and Head of Western Campuses at the University of Ballarat from March 2012 to December 2013. Geoffrey's earlier career included project management at Charles Sturt University and extensive service in various capacities within the Australian Defence Force from 1982 to 2010. Academically, Geoffrey holds an MBA from Southern Cross University and a Bachelor's degree in Vocational Education and Training from Charles Sturt University.

East Wimmera Health Service provides care to a population of greater than 10,000 people who reside in the townships and districts of Birchip, Charlton, Donald, St Arnaud and Wycheproof. Acute Services: East Wimmera Health Service, offer a range of Acute services across each the five sites, each community supports a local doctor, who is the cornerstone for providing ongoing care to the community. East Wimmera Health Service provides a 24-hour urgent care at each of its five campuses, providing resuscitation and limited stabilisation prior to transfer of the patient to a larger hospital. Due to the large geographical distances and the nature of the injuries presenting we are fortunate to have access to both the Ambulance helicopter and the fixed wing air craft that rush patients to either a major regional hospital or a metropolitan hospital Residential Aged Care: All of East Wimmera Health Service's fully accredited residential care facilities are co-located with the local acute hospital, and in most cases they are also co-located with the local GP enabling easy access to medical attention. All of East Wimmera Health Service's residential care facilities offer 24-hour nursing care provided by Registered Nursing staff. Allied health services are provided by a range of providers including the utilisation of video conferencing technology to provide more timely accesses to allied health professionals.
