M. Khurshed Alam

M. Khurshed Alam's work experience includes serving as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Eastern Bank Limited since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Deputy Managing Director at the same bank from January 2021 to December 2022, where they were responsible for planning and strategy formulation, as well as driving business performance and customer satisfaction. Before joining Eastern Bank Limited, they also held the position of Deputy Managing Director at NRB Bank Limited from January 2019 to December 2020, overseeing various departments including retail banking, SME banking, facility management, and learning and development. Additionally, they have worked at Eastern Bank Limited in various roles, such as Head of Special Asset Management Division from September 2016 to December 2018, Head of SME Banking from February 2008 to August 2016, Head of SME Risk from July 2007 to January 2008, Manager-Credit from July 2003 to June 2007, Branch Manager from January 2002 to July 2003, and Operation Manager & 2nd in Command from January 1996 to December 2002.

M. Khurshed Alam obtained a Higher Secondary degree in Humanities from Dhaka Residential Model School & College in the years 1985-1987. M. Khurshed then pursued a MSS degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka, graduating in the years 1987-1991. Additionally, they hold a certification in CSA - Credit Skill Assessment from Omega UK.
