Ali Lakhani

Ali Lakhani is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in public health and research management. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at La Trobe University since November 2019, Lakhani leads a translational research program in partnership with health and social services and coordinates postgraduate public health courses. Concurrently, Lakhani holds positions as a Senior Research Fellow (Adjunct) at Griffith University’s Menzies Health Institute Queensland and an Honorary Palliative Care Researcher at Eastern Health. Prior roles include Research Fellow/Project Manager at The Hopkins Centre and various positions at Griffith University, Ryerson University, and York University, with a strong focus on generating substantial research funding and engaging diverse stakeholders in health and rehabilitation initiatives. Lakhani's educational background includes a PhD in Human Services & Social Work from Griffith University and degrees in Environmental Studies, International Finance and Economics, and Finance and Economics.
