Janine Stowe

Janine Stowe (nee Pingo) is a staff psychiatrist at Eastern Health, specifically at Maroondah Hospital, since September 2021. Previous experience includes roles as a psychiatry registrar at Akeso Kenilworth Clinic from January 2014 to July 2021, and as a private psychiatrist at Groote Schuur Hospital from November 2014 to December 2015. Janine has also worked as a sessional psychiatrist in maternal mental health at Stikland Hospital and held various positions from medical officer to research medical officer at hospitals such as Lentegeur Hospital, MRC, and Karl Bremer Hospital between 2007 and 2013. Janine holds an FC Psych (SA) MMed (Stell) in Psychiatry and an MBChB in Medicine, both obtained from Stellenbosch University.
